Salesforce Location Append for Event Targeting

Ready to get started?

Salesforce Location Append for Event Targeting

Filter up to 1,000 contacts by region for one event. Send the right invites. Stop clicking one at a time.

Pricing

$500 flat. One list. One event.

I append regional location data to up to 1,000 of your Salesforce contacts so you can pull a filtered list for your next event city in seconds. You get the data before your March outreach window opens. If the append delivers, I roll into a full engagement to cover the rest of your contact list, wire up Salesloft campaign sync, and build regional reporting for your reps.

What You Get

  • Regional location data on up to 1,000 contacts: Not raw city names that force you to guess which suburb maps to which metro. Thoughtful regional groupings (Dallas/Fort Worth metro, Greater Boston, Southern California) so one filter catches everyone in the area.
  • Salesforce-ready delivery: Data appended directly to contact records. You build a report, filter by region, and export to Salesloft. No spreadsheet gymnastics.
  • Industry tagging (where available): Account and contact-level industry data so you can layer geography with vertical. Useful for events like the Gartner Data and Analytics conference where you want people in both the right city and the right space.
  • ZoomInfo feasibility assessment: I confirm whether your current ZoomInfo license supports API access. If it does, the append runs programmatically in one pass. If not, I use an alternative enrichment source and document the path forward.

How It Works

  1. You share Salesforce API credentials and confirm your ZoomInfo tier. I check API access and select the best data source.
  2. I pull up to 1,000 contacts from your target list, enrich with regional location data, and map every record to a metro grouping that matches how you plan events.
  3. I push the enriched data back into Salesforce and verify it filters correctly. You run your first regional report before I call it done.

Turnaround: 48 hours from receiving access.

Success Criteria

  • Coverage: 80%+ of the contacts in scope have a usable regional location value. No blanks on records that should have data.
  • Filter accuracy: You can pull a Salesforce report for the Dallas/Fort Worth metro and get everyone who should be invited to the Grapevine happy hour. No manual cross-referencing.
  • Time saved: Your March outreach prep drops from a full day of LinkedIn searching and manual Salesforce updates to a single report export into Salesloft.

What the Full Engagement Looks Like

Once the location data is in place and your March invites go out cleanly, I move to the rest of your list and the workflow layer:

  • Full list coverage: Extend the location append to your entire contact database โ€” not just the first 1,000. Every record enriched and region-mapped.
  • Salesloft-to-Salesforce campaign sync: Email sends from a Salesloft cadence automatically update campaign membership and RSVP status in Salesforce. No more toggling between systems to track who responded.
  • Regional reports for reps: Each salesperson gets a filtered list of their contacts in the target geography before every event. Built in Salesforce, delivered automatically.
  • Event playbook automation: The full loop from "new event announced" to "invites sent and tracked" compressed into a repeatable process instead of a manual scramble every time.
  • Outcome-based retainer: No hourly billing. Each month we agree on what gets built and I deliver it.

What I Need From You

  • Salesforce API credentials (or admin access to generate them)
  • Confirmation on your ZoomInfo subscription tier (API access vs. Chrome plugin only)
  • A quick list of the metro regions you care about most (Dallas/Fort Worth, Orlando, Boston, etc.)
  • 30 minutes next week to review the enriched data before I push it live

Next Step

Your April Grapevine event needs invites out by early March. I can have the location data appended within 48 hours of getting Salesforce access. Pay the $500 here, send me the credentials on Slack, and I will have the data ready before your outreach window opens. If you want to walk through anything first, grab 30 minutes on my calendar.

Our Call

Our Call

You posted in the Pavilion Slack looking for help with a specific operational problem: getting location data onto your Salesforce contacts so you can target event invites by region. Here is what I took away from our conversation.

The Problem

ARInsights sponsors happy hours in cities where major analyst events are already happening. You need to invite the right people from your 5,000-contact Salesforce database, but there is no location data on the records. That forces a manual process every time: search LinkedIn by city, find the person in Sales Navigator, message them, then go into Salesforce and add them to the campaign by hand. It works, but it eats an entire day and does not scale across multiple events.

What You Are Doing Today

For the upcoming Grapevine, TX event, you searched LinkedIn for "analyst relations" filtered to the Dallas Metroplex, identified first and second-degree connections, then moved to Sales Navigator to message them (so it logs to Salesforce). After that, you manually found each contact in Salesforce and added them to the event campaign. You will have to go back and update each record again when they respond. Five people on the team, all doing variations of this.

Your Stack

Salesforce for contact and campaign management. Sales Navigator for LinkedIn messaging that logs to CRM. ZoomInfo (Chrome plugin, likely no API access). Salesloft for email cadences. You prefer LinkedIn search over Sales Navigator search for finding people.

What You Want

Location data appended at the regional level, not city-specific. "Dallas/Fort Worth metro" instead of "Grapevine, TX" so filters actually work. Industry data layered on top so you can target by both geography and vertical. Salesloft sends that automatically update Salesforce campaigns so you are not toggling between systems. Reports that each rep can use before an event, filtered to their contacts in the target region.

Timing

April event in Grapevine. Invites go out early March. Location data needs to be in Salesforce before that outreach window opens.

About ARInsights

About ARInsights

You operate in analyst relations, a niche that most people have never heard of. The short version: companies like Microsoft launch products and want enterprise buyers to spend tens or hundreds of millions of dollars on them. Those buyers rely on research analysts at Gartner, Forrester, and IDC to evaluate those products. ARInsights helps companies engage with the right analysts, show up well in evaluations like Magic Quadrants, and stay visible to the people who shape purchase decisions.

It is a small, specialized market. Your team is five people. Your Salesforce database has about 5,000 contacts across customers and prospects. The community is tight. People rotate jobs frequently, which makes networking the lifeblood of the business.

Why Events Are Your Growth Engine

You sponsor happy hours in cities where major analyst events are already happening. The format works because the analyst relations community is small enough that people genuinely want to see each other. These events generate business, deepen relationships, and build goodwill. The problem is not demand. People want to come. The problem is operations.

The Bottleneck

You have 5,000 contacts and no way to filter them by region. Every event triggers the same manual cycle: search LinkedIn by city, cross-reference in Sales Navigator, message people one by one, then log everything in Salesforce by hand. You spent your first 18 months building a network that covers roughly 90% of the industry on LinkedIn. The relationship layer is strong. The data and workflow layer underneath it is what is holding you back.

What Is Coming Up

An early April happy hour in Grapevine, TX, co-located with a Gartner event at the resort between Dallas and Fort Worth. Invitations need to go out by early March. After that, Orlando for a Gartner Data and Analytics event, where you will need to filter by both geography and industry vertical.
